Speaking Truth to the Head and Heart

Who am I?
The simple answer to this question is, "no one special." I am a graduate of Georgia College & State University with a B.A. in Philosophy and a B.A. in Liberal Studies. I am also a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with an M.A. in Philosophy. Currently, I serve as Pastor of Discipleship & Student Ministry at 22nd Street Baptist Church in Tucson, AZ, and am pursuing a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Religion at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. I am married to a wonderful wife, because of whom every day is a unique blessing.
I became a passionate follower of Jesus at the age of 14 in high school, but a crisis of faith nearly ruined my faith. The Lord used that crisis of faith to lead me into philosophy, apologetics, and ministry. For the stories of how I became a follower of Christ and passionate about apologetics, see Part 1 and Part 2 of my story.

What is Holistic Apologetics?
Holistic Apologetics is a kind of approach to apologetics, or the defense of the Christian faith, made up of two major parts. First, we seek to reach people for the gospel via both the head and the heart. Second, in order to do this, we seek to adopt the wisdom of multiple methods of apologetics in our presentation of the gospel to others. And in order to do these things, we seek intimate relationship with Christ holistically, via the head and heart. For more information on Holistic Apologetics, see my blog post about it here.
